Wagga wagga stamp & Coin club inc.
Our club will not be meeting in the next few months because of government restrictions imposed during the coronavirus epidemic. Check this website for future developments.
This friendly club caters for stamp collectors of all levels (from beginners to advanced collectors) within the Wagga Wagga City area and surrounding towns. The monthly meetings consist of a short business meeting (30/45 minutes) followed by a display by one of the members, supper and a sale by tender.
Two large sale by tender events (no display on these nights) are held each year and in November a five page, competitive members display is held. A monthly newsletter is mailed to members.

All aboard, take your seats and put your seat belt on. Amid the Coronavirus/COVID19 crisis, 15 members of the Wagga Wagga Stamp and Coin Club travelled to the Canberra Stampshow 2020 on Saturday 14 March. We must have been keen, no coffee stop at Macca’s Yass, just straight through to Woden please!
Many of the members had not attended a major stamp show for a number of years and it was a pleasure to arrive at a well planned event with plenty of amenities and space for the exhibition, traders and relaxation areas. Coffee and food was also excellent.
The exhibition was well appreciated by the Wagga members with many discussions on the return journey about certain frames/displays and which of them they liked the best. I’m sure future displays at Wagga Wagga will be inspired by what was seen. Many members spent well on stamps, PNC’s, postcards, covers and accessories with a couple coming home with armfuls and boxes full of purchases.
Stamp shows are places where friends are made, acquaintances renewed and contacts made. Shows also keep collecting interests alive, and with exceptional shows like Canberra, philately will survive and prosper.
Congratulations to the Canberra Stampshow Committee 2020 and a big thank you to the executive of the Wagga Wagga Stamp and Coin Club for the organisation of the trip.
